El pintor español Antonio López (nacido en 1936) convierte la cotidiana realidad en obras de arte. La vida, lo temporal, el deterioro de lo material son los motivos de sus obras, de gran realismo aunque con un toque ciertamente mágico, características de la escuela de la que es iniciador, el "realismo mágico" o hiperrealismo. López es actualmente uno de los artistas españoles vivos más importantes (junto a Miquel Barceló, Antoni Tapiès y Manolo Valdés) y su obra ha sido reconocida con varios e importantes galardones.
The Spanish painter Antonio Lopez (born in 1936) turns the daily reality into works of art. The life, the temporary things, the deterioration of the material things are the motives of his works, of great realism though with a certainly magic touch, characteristics of the school that he founded, the "magic realism" or hyperrealism. López is nowadays one of the most important Spanish alive artists (together with Miquel Barceló, Antoni Tapiès and Manolo Valdés) and his work has been recognized with different and important awards.
