Tal es el caso de China que, a pesar de violar continuamente los derechos humanos, será la encargada de organizar los próximos Juegos Olímpicos de 2008 en su capital, Pequín. Aprovechando este motivo las autoridades chinas han encargado impresionantes y monumentales obras a los más prestigiosos arquitectos del mundo. Estas obras quieren ser reflejo de la China abierta, moderna y occidentalizada. China está de moda.
